In addition to their works involvement, BMW Motorrad Motorsport support privateer teams and riders with their customer racing programme – on an individual basis and in line with the relevant race series – with extensive expertise and the full force of the specialist knowledge of the engineers and specialists at BMW Motorrad Motorsport.

This ranges from support at trackside, technical support regarding questions about the BMW S 1000 RR and the BMW M 1000 RR and support for the electronic set-up to regular race kit software updates and race parts developed specifically for race use. All BMW Motorrad Motorsport engineers have years of experience in international motorcycle racing and in Formula 1. In total, more than 200 teams worldwide count on BMW Motorrad Motorsport’s support.

Innovative racing project on all continents.

Furthermore, BMW Motorrad became the first manufacturer worldwide to start an innovative racing project back in 2014 – the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy – covering every continent and with a single classification for BMW riders. The feedback among BMW racers worldwide is overwhelming. In 2020, the Race Trophy could not be held due to the Corona pandemic, but it is back in 2021 with several innovations.

BMW in the pinnacle of production-based motorcycle racing: in 2019, BMW Motorrad Motorsport returned to the FIM Superbike World Championship with a factory involvement. The goal is clear: to step by step close the gap to the top in this closely fought world championship and to fight for the title. With the new BMW M 1000 RR, BMW Motorrad Motorsport is taking the next step in this direction. The works team, the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, is contesting its third season in 2021. In addition, we have two BMW satellite teams in WorldSBK for the first time this year: RC Squadra Corse and Bonovo MGM Racing.

For the 2019/20 season, BMW Motorrad expanded its works projects with the BMW S 1000 RR to include the FIM Endurance World Championship. The BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team has immediately made a name for itself in this high-class world championship, finishing two of the four races held in its debut season on the podium. 2021 is the second season for Werner Daemen’s team in the endurance world championship. The new #37 bike in action is the BMW M 1000 RR.
